GP West Invitational Results – Cameron Croy First 4x Champ

Cameron Croy from Brentwood High school was the first 4x champion of the 41 year old tournament. He did this while earning his 100th win.

Brentwood’s State runner-up Blake Thomas and Soddy’s sophomore State Champion Campbell Lewis won their first titles by pinning their way through the tournament.

Junior Caleb Erwin from Union County, last years champ at 130 and currently ranked 19th in the country at 135 by Intermat, beat 2x state champion Michael Hooker of McCallie. Erwin was voted Best Wrestler of the tournament.

Brentwood High beats Antioch in close match, Also tops David Lipscomb

It came down to the final bout between Chris Dorsa (Brentwood) and Dillion Pursley (Antioch) to decide who would win the dual match.  Antioch, who led at one time 36-6, was now down after Brentwood rallied through 6 matches to gain the advantage 39-36.  Both Dorsa and Pursley wrestled a great match, but Dorsa finished on top 11-4.
